Overview

Del Morino has been in the business of making farm machinery in Italy since 1875 and, in addition to a history steeped in tradition and the corresponding know-how, they offer excellent high-quality implements for small to medium-sized tractors.

The Flipper mulcher is designed to operate on the front or rear PTO of your tractor with 540 rpm.

It as a Comer gearbox with freewheel and pass-through drive shaft

The Rotor shaft is electronically balanced and with 10 mm wall thickness

Flail Mowers, Mulchers & Slashers — Common Questions

What PTO speed do I need for a flail mower or slasher?

Most flail mowers and slashers run at 540 RPM; some larger models are 1000 RPM. Check the product spec and match it to your tractor's PTO speed — running one at the wrong speed can damage the gearbox.

Do I need a hydraulic side-shift, or is manual offset enough?

Manual side-shift is fine if you only occasionally mow along fence lines or ditches and don't mind stopping to reposition it. Hydraulic side-shift lets you offset the mower from the seat while moving, which is worth the extra cost if you're mowing verges or banks regularly.

What's the difference between a flail mower and a slasher?

A flail mower uses multiple free-swinging blades (flails) on a rotating drum, giving a fine, mulched finish that's safer around debris and better for orchard, vineyard or roadside work. A slasher (rotary mower) uses fewer fixed blades spinning flat, cutting faster over rough pasture but leaving a coarser finish. If you're mowing long grass or scrub at pace, a slasher is usually the better fit; for a tidy, mulched finish around trees or fences, go flail.

How much tractor horsepower do I need?

Keep 10 to 15% PTO power in reserve above the mower's minimum rating, especially in heavy or wet conditions — running right at the limit shortens gearbox and belt life. See our Tractor Size Guide for how to check your tractor's PTO horsepower.
