Who is Implements Direct?
We’re a New Zealand family-owned and operated business with over 22 years of experience in agricultural and construction machinery. We operate as an online-only distributor — no showroom overheads means better prices for you. We’re an authorised NZ distributor for multiple international implement brands and serve customers across New Zealand and Australia.
Where are Implements Direct based?
We’re headquartered in Albany, Auckland, with a branch in Brisbane for our Australian customers.
Where do your products come from?
We’re the authorised New Zealand distributor for over 10 international implement brands, including Del Morino (Italy), Mateng (China), Bison, Novaquip, Sierra, Zagroda, Hanmey, LIPA, Baumalight, Dexwal, and C&F Equipment. Our relationship with Del Morino alone goes back more than 10 years. Every product is sourced direct from the manufacturer, cutting out the middlemen and passing those savings on to you.
What types of implements do you sell?
We carry a wide range of tractor attachments including flail mowers, rotary hoes, box blades, post hole borers, pallet forks, front-end loader attachments, and more. Our range covers everything from small lifestyle block setups to larger farming operations. If you need help figuring out which attachments suit your property, we can put together a tailored implement package for your needs and budget.
How do I know if an implement will fit my tractor?
Compatibility is the number one question we hear. Before purchasing, check your tractor’s three-point hitch category (Cat 0, 1, 2, or 3), PTO horsepower (not engine HP — PTO HP is typically 1 to 5 HP less due to transmission losses), PTO speed (540 RPM or 1000 RPM), rear wheelbase width, and hydraulic system type (open-centre or closed-centre). Running an implement at the wrong RPM or with mismatched spline counts can cause serious damage to gearboxes and driveline components. A good rule of thumb is to keep 10 to 15% PTO power in reserve under heavy conditions. If you’re unsure, get in touch and we’ll help you find the right match.
What is a three-point hitch category, and which one do I need?
Three-point hitches are grouped into categories (Cat 0, 1, 2, and 3) based on the size and lifting capacity of the tractor. Category 1 is the most common for compact and lifestyle block tractors. Most compatibility issues come from choosing the wrong hitch category, so it’s worth double-checking before you order.
What do I need to do when I receive my new implement?
Inspect the implement for any shipping damage and check that all parts and hardware listed in the manual are present. Tighten all fasteners, grease every nipple, and check fluid levels in any gearboxes before use. Read the operator’s manual thoroughly, especially the sections on PTO speed and three-point linkage setup, so you’re running the implement safely from day one.
How long will it take for my order to be dispatched?
Most in-stock items are dispatched within 1 to 3 working days. If an item is coming from a supplier or is part of a larger shipment, we’ll let you know the expected timeframe upfront. Get in touch if you need something urgently and we’ll do our best to help.
What is the lead time for delivery?
Delivery times depend on your location and the size of the implement. For most of New Zealand, freight typically takes 3 to 10 working days once dispatched. Larger or heavier items and remote rural deliveries may take a little longer.
How do I track my order?
Once your order is dispatched, we’ll send you a tracking number via email. If you haven’t received tracking details or have concerns about your delivery, give us a call or send an email and we’ll chase it up.
Do you deliver to rural addresses in New Zealand?
Yes. We offer nationwide freight including rural delivery — it’s a standard part of our service, not an add-on.
How much does shipping cost?
Freight is calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and delivery address, so you’ll see the exact cost before you pay.
Can I pick up my order?
We’re online-only so pickup isn’t generally available. In some cases we may be able to arrange collection — get in touch to ask. For most orders, freight is the quickest option.
Can I order from Australia?
Yes. We ship throughout Australia from our Brisbane branch. Freight is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address. Get in touch if you have questions about delivery to your area.
Why are your prices lower than other suppliers?
We’re online-only with no showroom, no retail premises, and no middlemen between the factory and your gate. We source direct from manufacturers in volume, and those savings go straight to our customers. We also work closely with our manufacturing partners to make sure the implements are well-specced for NZ and Australian conditions.
How long is the warranty?
Warranty terms vary by brand and product — check the specific listing or contact us for details. All NZ purchases are also covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act, which entitles you to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product doesn’t meet acceptable quality standards.
When will this product be back in stock?
Restock dates depend on incoming shipments from our suppliers and can vary. If something you need is out of stock, get in touch and we’ll give you an estimated arrival date or suggest a suitable alternative.
I can’t find what I’m looking for. Can you source it for me?
Quite possibly. We distribute brands including Novaquip, Sierra, C&F Equipment, Zagroda, Hanmey, LIPA, Del Morino, Mateng, Baumalight, Dexwal, Sima, and Bison, and have relationships with many other OEM manufacturers. Flick us a message with the details and we’ll do our best to track it down or suggest an alternative.
Can you put together a custom implement package for my property?
Yes. We regularly put together tailored packages to suit individual property needs and budgets. Tell us about your tractor, your property, and the jobs you need done, and we’ll recommend a setup that makes sense for your situation.
Do you sell to dealers and resellers?
Yes. We work with agricultural machinery dealers and professional suppliers across the Australasian market. If you’re interested in wholesale or trade pricing, reach out to our team directly.
How do I get in touch with the Implements Direct team?
You can contact us through the enquiry form on our website, by phone, or by email. We’re a small team and you’ll be talking to someone who knows their way around a tractor. We’re happy to help with compatibility questions, product specs, freight, or anything else you need sorted.
