Overview

Sierra 1.8m (6ft) grader blade for Category 1 tractors from 28–45HP. Angle, tilt, and offset adjustment with 4 angle positions, 4 tilt positions, and 6 offset positions. 1820mm cutting width, 5mm moldboard steel, replaceable bolt-on cutting edge, and removable end plates. Greasable 50mm kingpin pivots and parking stand. Suited to driveway grading, drain forming, light earthworks, landscaping, and contouring on NZ farms and lifestyle blocks.

Grader Blades — Common Questions

What's a grader blade actually used for?

Grading and levelling driveways, races, tracks and building pads — pulling material into low spots and cutting down high spots, rather than moving large volumes of dirt the way a box blade or dirt scoop does.

Do I need tilt and angle adjustment, or is a fixed blade enough?

Tilt and angle adjustment lets you crown a driveway, cut a shallow drain, or angle material to one side without repositioning the tractor — worth it if you're doing anything beyond flat, straight passes. A fixed blade is fine for simple, flat maintenance grading.

Grader blade or box blade — which is right for my job?

A grader blade is better for fine levelling and finishing. A box blade, with its enclosed sides, is better for actually moving and redistributing material such as building up a track or spreading metal. Many customers end up using both for different stages of the same job.

What size grader blade suits a compact tractor?

As a starting point, match the blade width to roughly your tractor's wheel track plus a little overhang on each side. Going too wide on a compact tractor makes the blade harder to control and puts more strain on the linkage. See our Tractor Size Guide for hitch category and PTO details.
